You Have
Enough 4 Today.

I'm Dr. Amina Simmons, a licensed psychologist (PhD, CCTP-II) helping Black women heal from complex trauma, available across 43 states.

Whenever possible, I encourage Black women to build a healing team of people who get them, starting here. In my experience, therapy works best in a brave space: somewhere you're seen, held, and never asked to shrink. I'm licensed in 43 states, so geography is never the barrier. Sessions are virtual and built around one radical idea: you already have what you need for today.

Note: I don't accept insurance. Sessions are private-pay at $200/session – more on that below.

Meet Dr. A

I'm a licensed psychologist and certified clinical trauma professional (CCTP-II), focused on helping Black women navigate complex trauma using science-backed strategies and a whole lot of love. My practice, Enough4Today, blends clinical expertise with cultural insight – because healing that ignores the systems we live inside isn't really healing. I strive to build brave spaces where you can understand your patterns, reclaim your agency, and put down what was never yours to carry.

What We Work On Together

My practice is dedicated to helping Black women navigate the common intersections of life and identity. These are the areas where we most frequently focus our work together:

How I Show Up in the Room

Every session is grounded in a few non-negotiables. Here's what you can expect from me.

Untitled-35.png

Mutuality
Growth isn't a one-way street. I show up in this relationship too – willing to be changed by the work, not just directing it.

Untitled-32.png

Consciousness
Your relationship patterns didn't form in a vacuum. Naming the context that shaped them isn't an excuse, it's how you build real empathy for yourself and everybody else.

Untitled-3.png

Bravery
This isn't about being nice. It's about being truthful, even when that's uncomfortable. Real growth needs a little vulnerability.

Untitled-310.png

Connection
Disconnection is the wound. I'll fight it in the room with you, because staying connected (to yourself and to others) is what protects you from shame and disempowerment.

Possibility
You get to imagine something different. Yes, questioning what you've always believed is scary. Liberation usually is, at first.

Questions Before You Book

Do you accept insurance?

No, I don't accept insurance. I'm a private-pay practice, which means our work together is shaped by what you actually need.

How much does a session cost?

Sessions are $200 each. This is discussed upfront so there are no surprises. Investing in your healing should feel like a clear choice, not a hidden cost.

Where are you licensed to practice?

I'm licensed in 43 states, offering fully virtual therapy sessions. Geography should never be a barrier to trauma-informed, culturally-grounded care. See full list of states here.

What happens on the discovery call?

It's a free 15-minute conversation to talk about what brought you here, answer your questions about my approach, and figure out together if we're a good fit before you commit to anything.
